Will The Phone Dot harm or drain the battery? No, it will not. In fact, the magnetic field created by The Phone Dot will increase the battery life. For more information go to: "Will Not Drain Battery" link.

Will The Phone Dot harm my cell phone or electronic device? No, it will not. The Phone Dot's magnetic field will not harm solid-state circuits and almost every electronic device now days is solid-state. There is one exception and that is a "TV Type" tube used on the older televisions -- the magnetic field will turn the screen a rainbow of colors. However, it is safe to use as long as the Dot is not placed directly in front of the tube and so The Phone Dot can be used as a remote holder with these TV's safely.

Will The Phone Dot harm the hard-drive in my computer? Yes, but only if The Phone Dot is placed on top of the hard-drive itself -- most electronic devices used today use solid-state hard drives and there would be no reason or need to put a Dot "directly" on top of the drive. Plus most drives are enclosed in a computer tower or case and so The Phone Dot is safe to use as a computer control holder safely.

Will The Phone Dot harm my credit cards? Yes, if The Phone Dot is placed "directly" on top of a credit card, then the information stored on the magnetic strip could be lost -- in most cases this would never happen . . . unless The Phone Dot was placed directly on top of the card.

Will The Phone Dot Metal Adaptor (the part that goes onto the phone or electronic device) damage my phone? No. The adaptor can easily be removed and reapplied again. The adhesive used does not leave any marks or residue. To remove the Metal Adaptor use a spatula or something like it to scrap the Adaptor off the phone then roll off with your thumb the remaining material both on the phone and the Adaptor. Go to our online store (accessory) to buy more adaptors or adhesives to reapply to your phone.

Will The Phone Dot damage my dash when it is removed? No. The Phone Dot uses only the best adhesive material available by 3M. To remove the Dot just get the operating temperature to about 70 degrees Fahrenheit to soften up the adhesive then use a plastic pancake spatula to ease the Dot off the dash and roll off any remaining adhesive material -- the adhesive will come off in one piece without any residue. How long will The Phone Dot last? A life time! The Phone Dot is so well constructed that it will outlast your lifetime -- so that means it is "environmentally green" and will not end up in our landfills. The Phone Dot and The Phone Dot Adaptor are both unlimited to terms of reuse.

How come The Phone Dot is so expensive, isn't is just a magnet? Considering the materials and manufacturing process, The Phone Dot is actually priced very low. The Phone Dot is more than just a magnet . . . it is constructed of high quality neodymium, thick high quality steel in a high quality hermetically sealed case. Can The Phone Dot be used with a phone cover? Yes. The Metal Adaptor (the part that goes onto the phone or electronic device) can be placed on the back-side of any hard shell cover. If the phone cover is a soft shell (made of soft materials like: silicon, rubber, leather . . . etc.) simply place the Metal Adaptor on the phone first and place the soft cover over it -- The Phone Dot will work through the cover. Note: most leather cases with a clip will work without the Metal Adaptor -- just attach the clip to the Dot.

Can The Phone Dot be used with a Google Phone? Yes, The Phone Dot can used with almost any phone. The fact is, the Google Phone is a heavy phone and The Phone Dot will hold it very well. Note: When placing the Google Phone on top of the Dot the magnetic switch in the phone will trigger a menu option "placing the phone in a car cradle" choose "yes" and continue using the Dot.

Can The Phone Dot be used with the Motorola Flip Phone? Yes, The Phone Dot can used with almost any phone. Note: The Motorola Flip has a magnetic switch at the camera eye where the phone hinges. When the Dot is placed behind the camera eye it turns the display off -- just use the Dot with the adaptor normally and the display will continue to work normally. There maybe other phones that have this effect . . . The Dot will not harm the phone.
